How the TAKE IT DOWN Act works
Since May 2026, the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act requires covered websites and apps to remove reported non-consensual intimate images within 48 hours of a valid request, and the Federal Trade Commission enforces it. The law covers real images and AI-generated fakes. We prepare and file those requests for you, alongside copyright notices when you own the content, and we track every deadline so nothing slips.

What can you remove?

Is this confidential?

How long does removal take?
Many sites act within a few days. Others ignore the first notice and need follow-up or escalation to their hosting company. After we review your case, we tell you honestly what to expect.
Can you guarantee everything comes down?
No honest service can. Some sites are hosted offshore and resist notices. That is exactly where we earn our keep: we trace the hosting company, the content delivery network and the domain registrar, and we keep pressing until something gives. We have had content removed from servers in Hong Kong, Russia and the Netherlands.
Do I need to own the copyright?
For a DMCA takedown, generally yes: you created the content or it was assigned to you. If you appear in images someone else took and they were shared without your consent, a different route usually applies, such as a request under the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act or a platform's own policies. We will tell you which route fits.
Why not just use an automated service?
Automated services send large batches of generic notices and often lean on search-engine delisting. Delisting hides a link from search results, but the file stays online, and copies of those notices can end up in public databases. We go after the source first, review every notice by hand, and use delisting only when it actually helps.
Do you use AI?
